Note from your Power/Angler Fleet Captain
The Power Fleet is welcoming in the New Year with a number of fun and exciting club events that all of us can enjoy.
This year we plan on adding a few more fishing events closer to the club. The South Bay is loaded with fish, it’s close, and I think the fuel savings will pull in a number of new fisherman. We can also target more bottom species, sharks, skates, rays too be included in our fishing tournaments.
This year our projects will include:
Power Fleet Events:
- Juniors fishing
- Bottom fishing
- South Bay Combined fishing
- San Quentin fishing>That’s if Mexico settles down!
- Helping out with the Golden Run
- Perhaps as many as 2 Poker Rallies
Power’s annual Raffle: Runs from March, April, and the winning ticket will be drawn in May on Opening Day
We inspired the 50/50 drawings at the Friday night dinners, and we will continue this important fund raiser.
I would like to give a shout out, and special thanks to Carol Hale for donating her 50/50 winnings back to the Power Fleet. “GO CAROL”!!
Thanks for all the support we received last year, and I’m sure it will only get stronger in 2008.
